Your Privacy Choices

This page explains the choices you have about cookies and your personal information at Local Horizon, and how to use them.

Cookie choices on www.localhorizon.com

  • Essential (always on): keeps the site working and secure, remembers your cookie choice, and protects forms from spam. Our website builder also sets its own cookies (their names start with dm_) to count visits and support site features. The choices on this page do not change those.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics helps us count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not load until you choose Accept all, Accept analytics, or turn Analytics on under Manage choices.
  • Advertising: lets us and Google measure ad results and show our ads on other sites. It stays off unless you agree to it.

Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising cookies are off. You can change your choice at any time:

Your choice is saved in this browser on this device. If you clear your browser data, or use a different browser or device, we will ask again. If you turn Analytics off after turning it on, we stop Google Analytics on this site and delete its cookies from this browser.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as your request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising on www.localhorizon.com. While the signal is on, advertising cookies stay off and cannot be turned on, and analytics stays off unless you choose to allow it. The status line above shows whether we detected the signal. If you also want your opt-out applied to information we have linked to your name or email address, send us a request using one of the options below.

Our city directory sites

Our city directories (for example elpaso.localhorizon.com) have their own cookie banner. On those sites, analytics and visitor tracking start only after you click Accept, and stay off if you don't. Those sites cannot yet read the GPC signal or change a choice after you accept. To undo an Accept there, clear that site's cookies and site data in your browser settings, or send us a request below. Some business listings show YouTube videos, and YouTube may set its own cookies when those pages load. You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings.

Make a privacy request

You can ask us to opt you out of the sale or sharing of your personal information or targeted advertising, or ask to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information. You can also appeal a decision we made about your request.

Please tell us your name, the email address or phone number you used with us, your state, and what you are asking for. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on some requests. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you. We will not treat you differently for using any of these choices.

Marketing emails and texts

To stop marketing emails, click the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. To stop texts, reply STOP.
